You've got too much talent I see you through those bloodshot eyes There's a cure, you've found it ~ From an early age, Jimmy Olsen has had a love for photography and journalism. At first, it was meant to be an escape from his home life with his alcoholic father, but as time passed, his love for it grew. In 2003, he earned a coveted internship at the Daily Planet in Metropolis, where he met his soon-to-be first love, Chloe Sullivan. They were involved for a very short time, but it was for long enough that they lost their virginity to each other. Jimmy was nervous and shy after it had happened, and didn't have the nerve to contact her again after it happened. He didn't see her again until three years later, on Dark Thursday, right after he'd gotten a job at the Planet as a photographer. The two began an on-again, off-again relationship, one that was often disrupted due to his jealousy over her best friend, Clark. Jimmy and Chloe eventually married, but the union didn't last long. The breakup was ugly, and after it happened, Jimmy developed an addiction to painkillers. Following their annulment, and after Chloe, then a college graduate, left town, Jimmy was pushed to seek help, and ended up in rehab for a time. He was able to kick his addiction, as well as his depression, and eventually rejoined the Planet's ranks. Six years later, he is now one of the Planet's top photographers, and is fairly good friends with Clark, whom he secretly has realized is Superman. Chloe has recently returned to town, and Jimmy has tried very hard to be friends with his ex-wife once again. Oh, sweetheart, put the bottle down Cause you don't wanna miss out |
